A lot has been bothering me lately. I'm a little home sick and yet slightly annoyed. I'd love to go home and visit the fam for something other than a wedding or a holiday but it's just too expensive. During our wedding, people from all over told me that it's easier for us to go to Detroit or South Africa than it is for anyone from SA or Detroit to come to us. I call bullshit on that one. Right now, we're saving to go to my cousin's wedding in Detroit. It's something we actually have to save for because we're two young kids who don't have disposable income. We're just trying to make ends meet and establish ourselves.
Married life ain't easy. It's even harder when you live a bazillion miles from your parents and you've never met your in laws. There's a lot of unnecessary pressure.
Does it get easier?

Glad to have you with us!! I know with just being conscious with your spending, you will be able to save! I'll be cheering you on all the way!
Aww.. that would be hard being so far from family! As for "does it get easier"... sometimes. ;) I've been married for 16 yrs, with my hubby for 18 years, and we have years of "feast or famine". But you have to go with the flow, and hope for the best!
